IEEExtreme is a global competition in which IEEE student members have 24 hours to try to program the solution to a set of problems. Eighth edition of this contest was held the 18th October 2014 from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC+0 (+2 hours in Spain). 1750 teams from 60+ countries entered the competition.

Circuit simulation, a daily task for electronic engineers, is not easy on GNU/Linux. Proof of it is I have seen users of free operating systems setting a Windows virtual machine with the only purpose of running PSPICE or LTSPICE. There are several simulators that run on GNU/Linux like Gnucap, ngspice and QUCS. They have very powerful features, but some important flaws are present:
